Almost every day, not all day, but at some point I feel near my wits end. It’s usually either my kids’ whining, the fighting, or the constant requests for food and entertainment that push me to the edge. Then, it never fails, after they’re asleep I think of how angelic they are, and all of the annoyance melts away in their silence.
Every day there is good and bad. There are little moments I normally wouldn’t stop to notice. The days are long but the years are short. I want to capture them when I can. And I want to cherish every day.
I told myself I didn’t have another 365 Project in me. After 365 Love Letters, 365 Moments and 365 Days of Big T (which I still need to finish editing). But this one is much more simple, and arguably, even more beautiful. Just a photo of something that touched me each day, and the reason why. It’s a way of counting my blessings each day in under 100 words. A fun way to mini blog that I’m really enjoying.
Already my camera-avoiding husband is already getting in the picture more, and I hope there will be more of me in the near future as well too.
If you’d like you can follow along on Facebook and Instagram where I’m sharing a photo each day. On Facebook, in the comments sometimes I leave the runner-up photos because already it’s been hard a couple of times to choose just one.
And I’d LOVE it if you joined in on Instagram and used the hashtag #Cherish365 so I can see what moments you’re striving to hold dear each day.
Oh, and I know this year has 366 days but you know what, it doesn’t have the same ring to it mmmk?
Aside from hoping this helps me slow down a little more, and make moments last, I’m looking forward to playing with my photography and editing. I always find when I challenge myself to take a photo every day, I push myself to try new techniques and get a little better.
Each weekend I’ll share the photos of the week here on my blog and if you do too I’d love it if you shared your link. And if you want to catch up… Wait for it… Just go to Cherish365.com to see the latest (we may make this a prettier page later on depending how this goes)!
So here we are. Cherish 365 Week 1. And if I say so myself, it’s been a beautiful week.
So, are you with me? Will you find a reason to cherish every day?
